What are Eternal Roses?
Preserved roses are real roses. They are cut at full bloom, and the water and natural sap in each petal are slowly replaced with a glycerin-based solution and color. The result looks and feels like a fresh rose, soft to the touch and open, but it never needs water and won't wilt.
Ours are Ecuadorian roses. Ecuador's high-altitude farms grow some of the largest, straightest rose heads in the world. We receive and curate these roses by carefully checking their preservation quality, enhancing the roses with our local touch, and arranging them into designs by your request.
How Long do Preserved Roses Last?
Typically one to three years indoors, and sometimes longer. You'll see them sold as roses that last forever. They don't, and we'd rather tell you now than have you find out later. Everlasting roses fade slowly, not suddenly. Colors soften over time, and how fast depends almost entirely on where they live.
They last longest out of direct sunlight, away from humid rooms like bathrooms, and in a stable indoor temperature. Our care card covers the rest.
Caring for Your Preserved Roses
Never add water. It reverses the preservation and ruins the petals.
Keep them out of direct sun and strong fluorescent light, which fade the color.
Avoid humidity. Bathrooms, kitchens near the stove and open windows on wet days are the enemy.
Hands off the petals. Dust gently with a soft makeup brush or a hair dryer on cool, low.
Mind light surfaces. The color in deeply dyed roses (red, black, blue) can transfer to white fabric or pale stone if a petal rubs against it.
Preserved roses for every occasion
Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day roses that are still on the table in June. Fresh roses sell out and spike in price the week of February 14. Ours are arranged and ready ahead of time, so you never get the leftovers. Order by February 12 for Valentine's delivery.
Anniversaries. Anniversary roses that last as long as the year they celebrate. Add an engraved date to the vessel for an anniversary gift for her she'll keep on the shelf. A single rose under glass makes a perfect first anniversary gift.
Mother's Day. Mother's Day roses that don't need watering, trimming or a vase she has to dig out. Just a beautiful piece she can enjoy for years.
Birthdays, sympathy and "just because." Flowers that stay, for the moments that deserve more than a week.
Why We're Called Eternal Bouquet
If you searched "eternal bouquet" looking for a rose box, you're in the right place, and you've also found something more.
Eternal Bouquet began as a flower preservation studio. Couples bring us their wedding bouquets and families bring us flowers from a funeral, and we press, frame or cast them in resin so they last a lifetime. Those are your flowers, kept for good. Our preserved roses are the everyday version of that same idea: beautiful flowers that stay.

Eternal Rose FAQ
Are eternal roses real roses? (Are forever roses real?)
Yes. Forever roses, also sold as eternal roses or infinity roses, are real roses grown on a farm. They're preserved at peak bloom with a glycerin-based solution and dye that replaces the water in the petals. They aren't silk, plastic or soap.
1
Preserved roses, also known as forever or eternal roses last one to three years indoors, sometimes longer. Sun, humidity and handling shorten that. Resin and framed preservation methods substantially improve the color and form lifespan of flowers. Properly preserved and cared for, roses in frames or resin designs can last a lifetime.
How long do preserved roses last? (without resin or pressed preservation)
2
Do preserved roses need water?
Never. Water undoes the preservation and will ruin the petals. They need no care beyond a dry room and some shade.
3
What's the difference between preserved roses and dried roses?
4
Untreated roses naturally lose their moisture and become papery, brittle and darker over time. Preserved roses keep a soft, natural feel and full color, because the water in the petals is replaced rather than simply removed.
Do you ship preserved roses?
6
We can, but we prefer to handle flowers locally. Shipping, even with great packaging and excellent service, can still damage delicate flowers. Preserved roses are shelf-stable, so they can travel relatively safely compared to raw flowers, but we focus on local floral needs.
Can you preserve flowers I already have?
5
Yes, and that's what our studio was built for. We press, frame and cast wedding bouquets and funeral flowers in resin
